An excellenbt Southern car, NO RUST, new black paint, all new tan interior, tan top, good tonneau cover, wood dash, brakes just done, Weber carb with new manifolds, tubular headers, runs and drives wonderfully. 75-80 psi oil pressure, no smoke, smooth strong performance.
Work nearly completed: wire wheel conversion with new splined hubs and new chrome knock offs, complete professional chrome bumper conversion with all new chrome, grille, and new hardware, lowered to pre 1975 ride height (new front spring,s rear adapters, all front end parts cleaned nad painted), new stereo/CD, wood steering wheel, etc......
Why bother? beacause this blend of the old and new in MGBs makes the best touring MGB of all, in my opinion. Later cars WERE (lets see, minor deficiencies?) ugly, ill handling and gutless. BUT with al of those major flaws, STILL has some advantages....servo assist brakes, front and rear sway bars, the best dashboard and controls, face level air vents, better geatbox, smooter engine, electronic ignition, and better cooling system.
Hence, Weber carb restores power, lowering improves handling, and the chrome bumper conversion...beautiful. And the result is a striking car in black with tan interior, wood dash and steering wheel, tonneau, new tan top, AND all of the additions and improvements were are performing.
Excellent running, no rust, in our opinion, the best MGB of all.
Done soon.
