Originally assembled on May 27, 1965, this 1965 Corvette Convertible is sure to get you noticed with its side exhaust! This cars paint is in very good condition, looking to be somewhat recent, with a brilliant shine. With the exception of the windshield, all exterior glass in this car shows a correct date code. Convertible top is somewhat newer, and is in very good condition with some typical light staining, but no rips, tears, or thin spots, and a very good to excellent condition window. Chrome bumpers look to be older or original. Door weatherstripping is older> all other weatherstripping looks to be slightly newer, and is in good condition. This car wears a set of rally wheels, which are in very good to excellent condition, with a set of trim rings and 67 style center caps in good to very good condition. Radial whitewall tires look to be nearly new, showing 9/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1965 Corvette Convertible shows older leather seat covers in overall good condition. Door panels are in very good condition with no cracks or warping, and the correct loop style carpet is recent and in very good to excellent condition. Dash pads are in very good condition with no cracks, and GM seatbelts are present, looking to be original. Center console is in good condition, and a correct appearing AM/FM radio is present. A pair of vintage Jensen Triaxial 6x9 speakers has been mounted in the rear storage bin. The engine in this car wears valve covers and an aluminum intake manifold that would have been correct for a 1965 L79 engine. Ignition shielding is in place, and a chrome air cleaner and polished Edelbrock carburetor have been added. The following items have been replaced since 2008: clutch assembly, dash harness, rebuilt headlight motors, temperature gauge and sending unit, brake master cylinder, fuel pump, battery, alternator, parking brake, u-joints, headlight switch, and front coil springs. The transmission was also rebuilt, and a tuneup was performed. Frame is solid and rust-free. This car has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition.
