This 1964 Plymouth Savoy, with 472 HEMI is a factory tribute and boy is this car exciting to have on board. Our client, a long time Mopar enthusiast decided years ago he wanted an excellent example of a Hemi A-864 super stock 1964 Plymouth SAVOY. His goal was to make it as close to the real thing as possible, so he added a 472 CI Dale Reed built Hemi with a super rare 833/4 Speed transmission. This Hemi is not for the faint of heart and is period correct throughout. Whether you’re looking at the paint, interior color combination, or the exhaust, this is how the car would have been delivered back in the day, with the exception of the 472. (The car started as a California car out of L.A. and was originally sold from a dealer in Barstow, Calif.) The Savoy was then striped and media blasted to get a fresh start. A rear mini tub was added and the rear springs were relocated. The right shock tower was reworked and frame stiffeners installed. Then the Savoy was fitted with a new Dana 60 rear with a set of 355 Posi gears. The engine is a Dale Reed Hemi with Crower roller cam and lifters, 10.2 Aluminum pistons and an 8 quart oil pan. Dang, this car has the best of everything. Doug Thorley headers channel the music thru 3.5 inch exhaust with X pipe. 95 percent of all front end parts, along with the K member and undercarriage parts were powder coated. New disc brakes were installed on the front with new drum brakes on the rear. Grill and head light buckets were anobrighted. The interior is clean with radio and heater delete. Gauges were rebuilt and dash panels were re-chromed. New correct aluminum seat brackets and front bucket seats were installed. Paint is correct 1964 Ruby Red base coat and clear coat. This one is for the guys who have the Mopar madness running through their veins. Offered at $79,500 OBO.
