At a glance, it was practical for larger families needing the extra space, but having just the two doors made it a rather tough sell for Chevrolet dealers, even with the desired upscale Bel Air trim. For this reason, they were made in fewer and fewer production numbers throughout the 1955-1957 production run. By 1957, just 6,103 were delivered to dealerships making them the rarest of all production Bel Air ever produced, and sought after today! We are very excited to offer this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad finished in code correct India Ivory & Matador Red and all new correct Black & Red cloth/vinyl interior! Features of this example include 283ci V8 engine fitted with the factory Rochester 2-Jet carburetor which is attached to a Powerglide automatic transmission! Options include power brakes, power steering, polished wheel covers with spinners, brand new Coker whitewall radial tires measuring 235/75R14 in size, dual exterior mirrors, tinted front windshield, and door handle paint protectors! This example has some modern upgrades hidden underneath its stock exterior appearance! This includes a front & rear ventilated disc brakes, dual exhaust that includes polished stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers, California one-piece front bumper, and upgraded AM/FM/Cassette player fitted in the stock dash location!
