The cars showroom fresh body is 100% straight with no history of accidents or damage of any kind. One steely-eyed glance down its rock solid fuselage nets not so much as a dent or ding anywhere. And a close inspection of Roushs high quality add-ons reveals a seamless and almost invisible transition to Fords tight and glossy panels. It all adds up to one red hot rag-top that conveys a premium sense of collectability. And when that collectability is combined with the cars earth-shaking performance, it creates one timeless and incredibly desirable street slayer!
Combining sculpted, muscular sheetmetal and well-planned appearance upgrades with a buttoned down stance and clean, modern detailing, this awesome Roush rarity takes Ford designer J. Mays theme of retro-futurism and literally brings it to life. At the front of the car a traditional Mustang grille hangs a blacked out horse between two crystal clear driving lights and two factory headlights. Below that grille, a custom Roush front valence complements Roush lower valence lamps with functional cooling ducts and an aggressive chin spoiler. Behind that valence, a factory Mustang GT hood anchors a broad Roush 427R center stripe between clean ROUSHCHARGED decals, a chip-free factory windshield and a black ROUSH windshield banner. Below that hood, traditional Roush Performance emblems sit inside of swept 427R decals which narrow as they stretch rearward between custom side splitters and a black convertible top. And at the back of the car, a three-piece racing spoiler hangs above sequenced LED tail lamps, a custom Roush 427R faux fuel filler, a third pristine Roush Performance emblem and an injection-molded rear bumper that frames large stainless exhaust tips.
Created as a turnkey package for enthusiasts who want a reliably engineered Mustang that unlocks the full potential of Fords smooth 4.6 liter V8, the 427R utilizes an intercooled supercharger to crank out a stout 435 horsepower and a stellar 400 lb./ft. of torque. Roushs patented ROUSHcharger is an Eaton style blower that exhales through a relocated and redesigned single core cross-flow intercooler which helps manage on-track temperatures and create gobs of torque-rich power.
