The real first generation of the Park Avenue, was a sub model of the 1985 thru 1990 Buick Electra
Electra was a rear wheel drive car and Buick began producing a different, front wheel drive model
Both where in production but the front wheel drive Electra Park Avenue continued on into the 1990s
The rear wheel drive Electra and the Electra name itself were discontinued
Hence the 20 year Anniversary edition
