In 1942 the Chevrolet Coupe models were almost identical to the 1941 versions. Chevy introduced a new two-door fastback. With World War II underway, production numbers of 1942 Chevrolets saw a sharp decline of approximately 75 percent. On February 1st, the government ceased production of all American cars. This Classic Car runs and sounds great. Body of a 1942 Chevy and it sits on a 1985 Chevy Caprice chassis and engine. Awesome looking car just needs body work finished and interior completed.
