VIN 7H15S509454 This is a 1967 Mercury Cyclone GT 390 with close ratio 4-speed. One of only 3797 built that year. As you can see in the pictures this was a complete rotisserie restoration done by Bennyz rod shop in Twin Falls Idaho. The car was customized instead of going back to original by doing the following things. 2 drop spindles on the front to lower it. A Chromed 4 link rear suspension was added with adjustable shock mounts for raising and lowering the rear of the car. Full adjustable Chrome QA-1 coil over shocks on all four corners. Narrowed 9 rear end (only 2 on each side) with custom made Mark Williams axles. It has a posi trac with 411 gears. Four wheel disk brakes. The 390 was built and dynoed by Kidd Performance. They increased stroke to a 406 and added aluminum heads and intake. The headers are ceramic coated and the exhaust is polished stainless steel. The motor dynoed at 450 hp and 500 ft lbs of tourque. An aluminum radiator was installed for better cooling. The Transmission was completely gone through and re-built. Gauges by autometer replace the originals and a custom stereo with 1 12 subwoofer 2 6x9s and 2 5 1/4s and 2 amplifiers was installed by Power Plant Car Audio. (the sub woofer is completely hidden and is not visible from the trunk). Keyless entry was also added. The interior was done by Quality Apholstery and is Leather and Suede with the GT emblem stitched into the front seats. The rear deck lid was done by Power Plant and done so no speakers are visable from the outside. All new dash cover and head liner as well as custom made door panels. Custom fitted carpet kit also. The hood is an original fiberglass hood. The rims are custom made Polished Aluminum Race Line Wheels wrapped in toyo tires. Every suspension piece has been replaced along with all bushings nuts and bolts. A brand new aftermarket fuse panel was installed along with new wiring. A brand new gas tank was also installed. All Chrome work done by Ogden Chrome in Utah. The car has been in 4 car shows. August 2011 at Joe Mamas Car show in Jerome (one of the largest in the northwest) Idaho where it recieved the Presidents Choice Award. The Boise roadster show in March 2012 (also one of the biggest in the northwest) where it it placed 2nd in its class. The Twin Falls Car show in April 2012 where it won Best Ford and 1st in its class. The Reformed Car show in September 2011 where it won Best Of Show. The car has only been driven 8 times since its completion in July 2011. It sits under a cover in my garage unless I get a wild hair and decide to take it to town for a drive. I have the dyno sheet and all the reciepts for work completed and hours spent on the car. Over $60000 invested in this beautiful car. It is an absolute blast to drive. This is not a winter car!! The heater core was pressure tested and reinstalled but not hooked up.
