I always like to find cars like this. Like most classic car dealers, I used to buy cars at auction but you really never know what youre getting until you get them home. This 57 Chevy has been in the same family since 1984. It was sold at a McLeod Auction. Im sure I was at this auction at the time it was sold...maybe even bid on it. As you can tell I got a lot of invoices and papers. Note, it was restored when it was sold in 1984 and I found where it was repainted in 2003. Matching color #795 Larkspur blue. The interior does not match. It is #679 which is lt. blue and dark blue but the interior is done in turquoise and white and looks great. Anyway I just got it and it will be a month or more before its ready to sell. We always service and safety check all of our rigs and I want to do some detailing to make it really shine. 283 V-8 and I believe its the original engine. It was a 2 barrel and it now has a 4 barrel original type carburetor. 4 speed. Power steering is rack and pinion and works great. It was sitting on a hoist when I got there so I got to see the underside. I did find a little rust but not much. I will go over it in fine detail in the video. I think you will be impressed in what you see. Built in Oakland Ca. I have been out driving the Bel-Air around for 2 days and it runs and drives great. I took it to Joe at Old School Garage for its service and safety check. Does not need much. The heater works but was not getting air flow right and Joe fixed that. We have a new convertible boot coming we cant get the old one snapped down. I will have more info.for you when its ready to sell. Cond. # 2-. Make sure you watch the video on this vehicle. Go to dragers.com find the vehicle and click on it and you will see the YouTube link. This is a very in-depth video and should answer all your questions.
