Mini Coopers have been around for some time now and they are an absolute, kick in the pants, blast to drive. Their owners are a unique bunch, and are much more focused on performance than the average classic car enthusiast. Starting with a very good condition right hand drive 72 Mini with a 1275cc replacement of the smaller stock engine, the owner up-graded everything he could, wanting to make this little car out handle a Ferrari. First he added a Cooper “S” disk brake kit and alloy rear brake drums to dramatically improve repetitive stopping performance. The next step was the suspension upgrade…and that he did, replacing the stock suspension with coil springs, an adjustable camber and caster control system, race quality sway bars, front and rear, adjustable gas shocks, and just about every other suspension upgrade you could want. To keep him from sliding out of the front seat, new Corbeau racing seats were added. New 10" Mamba rims and Yokohama tires hold the corners quite well.
