This Brighton Motorsports 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge should be a member of the Supreme Court! It's also famous - "The Judge" has appeared in several Checker Auto Parts commercials, Barrett-Jackson Car Search series, GTO calendars, and Pontiac Magazines.
Due to the effect of the UAW strike, production of the 1971 Judge Hardtop was limited to 357 units, which makes this an exceptionally rare and desirable GTO indeed. Consider that Judge production in '69 and '70 was 6,725, & 3,635 units respectively. Additionally, this particular example was heavily optioned, assembled in Pontiac, Michigan in January 1971 and sold by Charlie Cox Oldsmobile CO., in Albertville, Alabama with an MSRP of $5,563.
There is some detail available regarding ownership history: The car spent some time in South Carolina, then a year in Vermont, and in 1989 went to North Carolina. It then spent 11 years with the previous owner who also performed a body off restoration (pictures are available). It was brought to Arizona in September 2000 showing 70,200 miles, and has only covered 3,000 miles in the last 12 years.
