1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible 396 c.i.
VIN: 13667B162510
Medium Blue with Medium Blue Interior
1967 Chevelle Convertible with SS 396 trim, this rare Medium Blue (paint code “D”) beauty is fitted with a 396 engine with an estimated 375 horsepower, Medium Blue bucket seats, console, and extremely straight sheet metal. This cruse in Chevelle has excellent paint, outstanding presentation, and excellent mechanical, with 4-speed, power steering, power brakes, and Air Conditioning.
The 396 engine is casting number is 3965440, intake is casting number 3933163 and is the correct intake for a L-78 375 h.p. engine with a 3310 Holley 4 barrel 780 CFM carburetor, and stock exhaust manifolds. The rear end is 2.73:1 12 bolt positraction. The transmission is a 4-speed Borg Warner super T10 with aluminum case casting number 1304045903. The 4 speed shifter is a Hurst with new linkage.
The Chevelle has Rally wheels and caps with excellent B.F. Goodrich 255/70 radial TAs that make the drive exceptionally. The data trim tag confirms the Chevelle was originally medium blue with black convertible top and medium blue interior. The side windows are good clear originals and roll up fine, the tinted windshield is new, has GM safety belts both front and rear, radio is the original Delco. The dash and gauges is factory and has not been cut on, the 4-speed console includes the original clock, and day/night rear view mirror.
The Super Sport hood and chrome pieces, wheel well moldings, chrome bumpers front and rear, all SS 396 emblems, fender trim rings, lower full rocker moldings, and the stainless trim look great. The trunk has full trunk mat, jack and spare tire with cover. The big block engine is going to be hard to resist once you experience the torque running through the 4-speed, and there’s nothing quite like a powerful ‘60s convertible to make you feel like a kid again. This convertible is in superb shape, nicely equipped, and beautifully presented.
