1937 Ford Custom In the world of 1937 Fords you are seeing more and more exaggerated customs that just dont look like a 37. Those customs are cool but it is nice to see a 37 cruising around with some real steal. That doesnt mean this one isnt as custom as the rest though because a ton of professional quality work went into the build of this classic to create a great look and a great driver. In 1937 a 3-window was not available as it was up until 36 so this classic started its life as a 5 window. Because of this the roof line was chopped and moved forward 6 with the rear window being laid down. It was then fitted with the doors from a 2 door sedan which are slightly larger and fit perfectly in place. These doors were of course shaved and installed as suicide doors for that added custom touch. They are now remote operated to open without handles. These customizations were all very well done with nice gaps and lines throughout. It is coated in a custom lime green pearl paint that really pops and gets tons of attention. Under the hood of this classic is much more than your typical crate 350 motor. It has been upgraded with a Corvette LT-1 engine that runs extremely well. Built for the performance you expect from a Corvette you know this car can run. The engine is topped with painted to match covers to create a really cool look. In addition to a cool custom you would be getting a show sign which contains the following tables to get a breakdown of all the components in this classic: Body/Exterior: Original 37 Ford 5 Window Coupe Body Chopped 3 1/2 Roof section moved forward 6 Rear window laid down 2 door sedan doors b post moved back 6 Hood extended 2 Molded fenders and running boards Specialty wipers Power windows Power trunk Remote doors Suicide doors Custom lime green pearl paint Engine/Drive train: 350 LT-1 engine 4L60E transmission 355 Mustang positrac 9 rear end Walker radiator A/C and heat Chassis/Undercarriage: Mustang II tubular A frames Boxed frame Power Brakes Disc in front, drum in rear Interior: Full tan leather interior Custom sculptured panels Custom Corvette Dash Billet specialty steering wheel and console As you can see this car has had a lot of work put into its build.
