A 1986 Nissan 300ZX that has been meticulously maintained throughout and looks as if it just came off the showroom floor.
Exterior
This Nissan is a beautiful Hot Red color that is in excellent shape, it shines and shows great. The hood and right side of vehicle was repainted with factory Nissan paint due to gravel damage when the original owner had the vehicle. All of the lenses are in near perfect condition and do not show any fading or cracks. The T-Tops are in excellent condition and do not leak. The original covers for the T-Tops come with the vehicle and are in the trunk and are in great shape. The wheels are clean and in very good condition, with only the front left rim having some curb rash about 1 inch long.
Interior
The interior is near perfect. The leather seats look and feel great. There is however a small section of the drivers seat where two sections are starting to seperate (pictured). The door panels are both in great shape and all the controls on them work. There is one rocker switch on the drivers door that has come off because a plastic clip has broken but the switch cover has been placed in the center storage compartment along with other fasteners that the owner has aquired for spares. The controls on the steering wheel all work as they should. the compass and accelerometer are the only accessories on this vehicle that are non-operational and this may be due to them being disabled. The owners have never tried to mess with them as they are mid 80's gadgetry that they really had no use for. There are a couple of small stains on the carpet behind the drivers seat (pictured). The trunk area of the vehicle is very clean. The original jack and tools are in the trunk in their original holder. The shades on the T-Tops are in great shape and the locks work correctly to hold them in place. Great care has been taken to keep this car in phenomenal shape and the looks of the interior show this.
Mechanical
Mechanically this Nissan is top notch. It passed the smog certification far below the average for this year vehicle. This Nissan 300ZX runs and drives well and has been very well maintained. The front suspension bushings have been recently replaced. The transmission shifts through its gears as it should. It drives straight down the road and doesn't shimmy or vibrate. The hood struts probably need to be replaces as they wont hold sometimes. The tires are in great shape and look to have about 8/32 of tread left. All of the windows work operate as they should. The steering wheel controls all work.
Overview
This Nissan is one of the cleanest around. If you are in the area and are thinking about bidding on this vehicle you really should come down to the California Automobile Museum and check it out in person. This Nissan shows extremely well and is sure to turn heads. The License plates do not go with the vehicle as the owners have asked to keep their personalized plates.
