By 1959, airplanes had been replaced by rockets and their influence is clearly seen in this Cadillac Deville convertible. These cars boast the tallest tail fins ever seen on a production vehicle, standing 45 inches tall! The 1959 Cadillac was powered by a powerful 390 CID V-8 engine with 10.5:1 compression that put out 325 horsepower. This kind of power would propel these 5,000 pound land rockets to a comfortable 120+ mph top speed! The frame-off restoration of this elegant 1959 Cadillac DeVille Convertible was completed earlier this year at a cost of $180,000! It really is hard to find the correct words to describe the stunning quality of this car. Everything on, in, or under the vehicle was removed, restored, or replaced before being put back on the car. The Florentine and Cardiff leather interior is gorgeous. It features power steering, power disk brakes, power seat, power windows, power locks, cruise control, autronic eye, high-output air conditioning, stainless steel exhaust, and more! It rides on Kelsey Hayes wire wheels which are spectacular against the mirror black finish and bright work. The car is adorned with Biarritz stainless trim, and parade boot cover.
