Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this rare 1957 "E" code Thunderbird. One of 1499 built, it is equipped with the original 312-270hp V8 and Dual Quad Holley "Teapot" carbs, original Ford Aluminum Intake Manifold, along with the original "Trash Can" Fuel Canister and original Factory Air Cleaner.
The engine starts easily, runs nice, and exceptionally rare for an "E" code, the original Borg/Warner 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive (actuated by a handle under the dash) shifts great. Out back is a 9" differential with 3.70:1 gears. The car has its original firewall data plate (pictured) and the VIN number is clearly stamped into the frame.
The recent repaint is correct (AA) coded Raven Black, with the Black Hardtop and the interior is the original (XA) coded Raven Black Pleated with Colonial White Pleated vinyl trim. Other options are Power Steering, Power Windows, Town & Country Radio with Optional Decklid Antenna.
