The C6 Z06 Corvette needs no introduction. But this particular car does. It is one of the cleanest examples you will find, fully stock and meticulously cared for with just 8,347 miles since new.
This 2006 represents the first production year for the latest generation Z06 Corvette. With its unbelievable 505 hp LS7 engine and 6-speed transmission, not to mention a relatively light weight of 3,132 pounds, its performance rivals cars well north of $100k, making this a true bargain.
If you're already looking for a C6 Z06, you are probably well aware of its amazing capabilities, but they're still fun to talk about. Not many cars can match its 3.7-second 0-60 time, 11-second quarter miles, and 198 mph top speed. Yet it can still deliver 26 mpg on the highway.
Handling is also outstanding, and with 275 tires in front / 325 in rear it Is capable of more than 1g of lateral acceleration. Despite the huge tires, though, steering remains very precise. The Corvette's traction control is wonderful for everyday driving, but it also includes a very effective Competition Mode. Brakes use monster 14" rotors in front / 13.4" rear and have spectacular stopping power. The exhaust is very unique as well with a valve in the muffler that basically turns the system into a 3-inch straight pipe. Yes it sounds fantastic.
This 1LZ model is all about light weight and performance; no heated seats here. As mentioned, this remarkably clean example has not been modified from stock; even the 1-4 shift lockout remains. All standard Z06 features are present, including HUD (head-up display) which can really be useful in a car like this. The Victory Red paint looks good as new. Its black-and-red leather seats look great and the cabin retains its new-car smell.
This Z06 has its standard chrome wheels and tires in excellent condition, but as a real bonus the car includes a second set of Z06 wheels with a black powdercoat finish and like-new tires. They look fantastic with an excellent matte finish, and let you really change the look of the car with minimal effort.
This is a beautiful, no-stories Z06. It offers more performance than cars costing 2-3 times as much. It has only 8k miles and a perfect Autocheck report, and the second set of wheels is great to have. If you are truly serious about a Z06, your search may have just ended.
