1951 Willys Station Wagon VIN# 4X47310725
The Willys Jeep Station Wagon, introduced in 1946 by Willys Overland Motors was the first mass-produced all-steel station wagon designed and built as a passenger vehicle and has grown to be a very popular sport utility vehicle, considered to be the early SUV. Production began in 1947 and stayed in production until 1965. The steel body was easy to mass produce, safer than previous wood-bodied station wagons at the time. This particular Willys Station Wagon features dealer installed options such as the very rare AM radio and passenger compartment heater. The Willys is powered by the L-134 Go-Devil flathead four cylinder and is equipped with 4 wheel drive with high and low speed gearing. The interior features a no tools needed removable rear seat as well as fold away front passenger seat to ease entry into the back. New look wheels and larger tires give the just right stance and look. Original undamaged body panels, a sharp two toned paint and new interior complete the look. An ultra rare vehicle, in pristine original condition, great ride quality and more fun than you realize. A great addition to any collection.
