This 1940 Chevrolet was purchased new from Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach, CA (the dealer is still in business) in November 1939. This was the last year of the Chevrolet suicide doors and running boards. The knee action independent front suspension was developed vastly improving ride handling and giving great handling ability. Verified original owner and in same family since new. In May 1990 total frame off restoration commenced, car was completed in February 1992. This 1940 Chevrolet was the 1993 AACA Grand National winner. (996 points). The Chevrolet has the original engine.
