The Ferrari Testarossa, which superseded the 512 BB, was launched in Paris in September of 1984, and for nearly 11 years it went unchallenged as the world's fastest series production car. Its market focus was solely the USA, Ferrari making sure that it met all governmental safety and emissions rules. 175 mph was well within the stride of its dry sump, 4942cc, 4-valve, DOHC, flat-12 and its 'ripping silk' exhaust note both entertained and met the regulations. Its namesake, the Testa Rossa, was Ferrari's 1950s sports racing car. Like its predecessor, the Testarossa used a double wishbone front and rear suspension. Ferrari improved traction by adding 10-inch-wide alloy rear wheels. The Testarossa drivetrain was also an evolution of the BB 512i. Its engine used near identical displacement and compression ratio, but unlike the BB 512i had four-valve cylinder heads that were finished in red. This 1988 Testarossa is fresh out of a high-end Ferrari collection. There is just 18,490 miles on the odometer. The original tools, books and manuals are included. The Testarossa represents the most economical way into Ferrari 12 cylinder ownership. Prices are starting to climb on these cars so don't miss a wonderful opportunity to add one to your collection while prices are reasonable. *Price includes a full service with purchase
An additional $199.00 Dealer / Processing Fee will be assessed upon paperwork finalizing.
