You have stumbled upon one of the most nicely built Nomads around. The Nomad is a very sought after classic that continues to only become more rare as time goes on. This 1955 Chevrolet Nomad was built in such a way that it will put your high dollar luxury 2012 car to shame. It has that vintage look but it is far from original. That doesnt mean it isnt a Nomad though because it is a true documented classic with Nomad on the title. It isnt just a built up station wagon. Every component was entirely gone through and updated to basically created a brand new 55 Chevy. The body is coated in a beautiful dark Purple that will almost appear Blue in a certain light. The hood has been kept nice and clean but all of the other stainless and emblems are in place. The front and rear bumpers are very nicely chromed and have an awesome shine. All of the glass is framed by nice trim that is cleanly mounted. The windows have a dark tint and are in good condition. The rear fold down deck lid has the correct parallel chrome bars and the lid lowers with no problems. Billet side mirrors are in place on both the drives and passengers side. This custom has a very nice stance and rides on a great set of 20 Schott polished wheels with knock off center caps. Under the hood of this car is a professionally built 396 big block motor. The block, heads, valve covers, and manifold are all coated purple to match the car and look awesome with all the added chrome. The air cleaner is all custom and chromed giving it more of a fuel injected look. All of the hoses are nicely mounted and routed for a clean look. The billet specialties front pulley system is all polished and utilizes a serpentine belt. Keeping the car nice and cool is the polished performance radiator/condenser support with a nice electric fan assembly. The entire drive train on the car was professionally built with only the best components. This continues with a 700R4 overdrive transmission into a 373 Moser 12 bolt positrac rear end. Dont forget the suspension because all of that has been upgraded as well. The car is now fitted with 2 drop spindles up front with tubular upper and lower control arms and KYB shocks throughout. It has a great ride and rolls down the road smoothly. For stopping a full set of front and rear 13 Baer brakes were installed and work with no problems. The interior of this classic is truly a work of art. From the upholstery to the dash everything has been beautifully done. The purple carpeting has Sho-mad embroidered into the floor mats and a Nomad Association logo in the rear. The bucket seats and center console are out of a Cadillac Seville and are extremely comfortable. The combo of leather and cloth create a great look and was all very nicely done. The Cadillac console provides cupholders and extra storage. This sits on top of a 2nd custom console which houses interior lighting and a JVC navigation system with back up camera. This brings us to the dash where you will find custom Petes fabricated chrome inserts. These work perfectly with the vintage look of a 55 Chevy dash and fit in place like they should have been from the factory. The close attention to detail is evident in small features like the Purple Bel Air insert on the passengers side where you would normally find the black speaker cover. That is no longer needed as custom speakers have been mounted throughout. The American Classic Instrument gauges work with no problems and house your speedometer, temp, amp, oil, tachometer, and fuel all in one bezel. The complete Vintage Air A/C and heat system works like new and utilizes all billet vents. You will not find another Nomad quite like this. Being what it is it can only go up in value and with all the upgrades you will LOVE driving it. You couldnt replicate this rare classic for only the reduced price of $78,500.00!
