This classic 1955 pickup is a 3100 Chevy Silverado. It was acid dipped and fully restored in 1996 and has gained less than 3,500 miles since its restoration.
The 55 Chevrolet contains a Chevy big truck 383 stroker engine that is mated with a GM 3 speed, with a granny low gear. Some of the features included are power steering, power front disc brakes, and a console. The differential is a 1978 12 bolt, 6 lug with a 3:73 ratio. To improve drivability, the axles, transfer case (205), engine, steering box, and fuel tank were removed from behind the seat and relocated to rear of frame. This move was modeled after the Chevy Blazer.
