Description

1967 CHEVY CAMARO RALLY SPORT CONVERTIBLE TRIBUTE WITH STOCK 327 V8 AUTOMATIC THAT HAS HAD A LOT OF WORK DONE AND IS WAITING FOR A NEW OWNER TO TAKE OVER! SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. FACTORY OPTIONS: 1) Power steering 2) Power brakes 3) Power convertible top 4) Dual exhaust 5) 327ci-210hp 4bbl. V8 6) Automatic transmission 7) 10 bolt rear end 8) Rally Sport package 9) Cowl hood 10) Rear spoiler 11) Bucket seats with Deluxe door panels 12) Center console The car comes from Maryland, where it has been collector owned and maintained. Previous owner did some work on the car in the past few years, but basically just had a good driver needing a little work. When I got it, I had the body completely sanded down and repainted in the correct Granada Gold, and installed a cowl hood, rear spoiler and a bunch of new trim and emblems (wheel well moldings, original set of rocker moldings, both bumpers, etc.). Interior was originally a deluxe model, but the seats were redone some years ago in standard fashion for some reason. The rally sport package was added, including the headlights, grill, backup lights, front lower valence with correct signal lights, etc. Body is very straight and clean. Doors open and close beautifully. NOT a speck of rust from the outside on this car! Chrome is very good and shows nicely as well. Interior is in GOOD overall condition with minor general wear here and there. Seats were originally deluxe, but replaced years ago with stock seat covers (front ones have small holes here and there). Carpet is good. Dash is nice. Door panels in good shape with minor wear and added speakers. Nice steering wheel. Convertible top is very good and goes up and down nicely. Overall a nicely presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood, the stock 327ci-210hp motor is basically untouched other than an upgraded aluminum intake manifold and Holley 4bbl. carburetor. It has been detailed and dressed up with new chrome as you can see. Starts easily and idles great. Good stock power overall and brakes stop WELL, although they are a little spongy. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble without too much play in it. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it around easily. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, never on any long trips. Underside appears to be VERY SOLID as well with EXCELLENT frame and good floors. Trunk pan is solid GOOD shock towers. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up NICELY with GOOD luster for a very nice driver (NOT a showcar ). Some minor imperfections here and there from use as you would expect like small chips-minor touch-ups-tiny scratches and the like. Hood is aftermarket so does not line up 100%. Not working: radio, horn, hidden headlights (missing motors-actuators, but open and close manually), backup lights (not connected), front signal lights (not connected), may need new headlight bulbs and a bulb or two replaced here and there where needed. Missing: spare, front rs headlight actuators and vacuum lines, little bezel for ignition switch. Tranny goes in all gears but lately has been giving me issues shifting in high gear (I have driven the car several times on the highway before and it shifted fine, so it may be a minor issue). Steering is very light and makes a grinding sound like the pump is bad, even though it holds fluid fine and does not leak from what I could tell. Carburetor is a little too big for the car and should be replaced-rebuilt at least. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING AND VERY STRAIGHT 1967 CHEVY CAMARO RALLY SPORT CONVERTIBLE TRIBUTE WITH 85K MILES, IN GRANADA GOLD THAT IS WAITING FOR A NEW OWNER TO DRIVE AS IS WITH MINOR TLC OR FINISH RESTORING TO THEIR LIKING.
