Finished in Cotillion White with a Dark Maroon velour interior, this beautiful 1983 Cadillac Sedan Deville has only 20,000 original miles. Its finish has a nice luster, and its chrome has a mirror-like finish. The exterior is complemented by coordinating Maroon pinstripes and a flawless White vinyl top.
The interior is in impeccable condition, and its velour seats, carpeting, floor mats, door panels, dashboard, and headliner are in showroom condition. With a sticker price of over $19,400, you will appreciate this well equipped car’s long list of comfort and convenience items, including the following:
• Power windows
• Power door locks
• 6-way power driver and passenger seats
• Power antenna
• Power trunk lid release/pull down
• Electric rear window defogger
• Heated outside mirrors
• Electronic climate control
• Controlled cycle wipers
• Cruise control
• Twilight sentinel
• Tilt/telescope steering wheel
• Opera lamps
• Illuminated vanity mirrors
• AM/FM stereo radio
All power options work as they should with the exception of the power antenna and cruise control. The power antenna is fixed in the upright position and the stereo has excellent reception and sound quality. The car benefits from a brand new air conditioning compressor, but the air conditioning does not currently blow ice cold. In addition, the fuel gauge is occasionally slow to register, but subsequently gives an accurate reading.
Still rolling on its original tires, this Cadillac is powered by its original HT 4100 4.1 liter V-8 engine with digital fuel injection and 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The car runs and drives, but runs rough. It has low compression in cylinder 2 and needs engine work. Additionally, the car needs a torque converter clutch solenoid, which can be serviced through the pan. Because of this, it is not recommended that the car be driven without further mechanical diagnosis and repair.
More recent maintenance and mechanical updates include the following:
• Air conditioning compressor
• Electronic climate control programmer
• Rear wheel cylinders
• Rear pumpkin gasket
• Valve cover gaskets
• Front shocks
• Fuel filter
• Fuel pump
• Belts
• Front brake pads
A one-family owned car, this car was originally purchased off the showroom floor of Town and Country Pontiac-Cadillac in Greenburg, Pennsylvania. This classic was meticulously maintained and was always kept indoors and never driven in winter. All service records will be provided with sale, as well the original owner’s manual and window sticker.
Price is firm.
