Description

Sort of the classic case of a 'good driver.' Let me explain.

A right hand drive 1957 Morgan, body is very nice as is the paint, interior is very good (done properly to correct pattern), a lot of the chrome is new, FANTASTIC mechanically.....FLIES!!!!!! Smooth, perfect oil pressure, no smoke, powerful, very good gearbox, brakes work well, very good ride, steering, handling, been driving Morgans for near forty years and this one is as good as the best.

A lesser part of this car is.....indications of some patches and repair to the chassis. As a Morgan chassis is simply folded sheet metal in a 'Z' pattern, some cracks and rips are to be expected over 55 years. And there is no indication of a problem (no sagging, no ill fitting doors, etc.). With any repairs done looking professional and thorough. But (how can we put this?) it is not a virgin.

Has a tonneau, new top, decent side curtains, new tires, all original (and working) gauges and switches, new battery, new seat belts, originial steering wheel, very good wiring and electrics (most of the wiring under the dash appears to be fairly new), even working washers.

IF one defines a 'show' as the kind that is held down at the local town green, VFW hall, or firehouse, this car is certainly a 'show car.' But don't expect to win any awards at a serious show. Morgans are SO rare (typically between 85 and 600 build a year during the 1950s and 1960s compared with 10,000 MG TCs, 29,000 MG TDs, and 9,400 MG TFs), seeing a Morgan at ANY show is not at all common.

IF you are not terribly picky about the underneath of a car, and the idea of paying $30-40,000 for a very good Morgan is beyond your means or interest, this car will not disappoint. With over 100hp and tons of torque, it accelerates like a well tuned Healey, NOT like a gutless 54hp MG T series car. Really strong acceleration, a bullet proof gearbox and back axle, AND those great Morgan esthetics
