Rally red roadster completely restored from frame up using the best parts available. Only 12% of the 66 vetts had the #974 coded rally red data plate. Built in St. Louis on Monday Oct. 18,1965 with an early A.O. Smith body #992 built 10-6-65 at the smith plant in Michigan. The car was originally built with an early 450 hp engine as evidenced by the 6500 redline tach and 80lb oil pressure gage and 160 mph speedometer. Although the current engine is not original to the car, it is most certainly an early 450hp numbers correct and date coded within the narrow six week time period above for 450hp engines. The engine was professionally assembled and balanced and runs very strong. This rare corvette will complete your investment quality collection!
