Description

1932 Ford All Steel Roadster The wild customs are fun to look at but sometimes its just nice to see a nostalgia style classic cruising around. Builders are continually looking for the newest way to slap a fiberglass piece on a car but that isnt what you will see here. This very cooler 1932 Ford Roadster combines a newer quality drivetrain with a very vintage look. The Rodbods steel body is combined with Steel running boards which are both very high quality components. The classic look is reinforced by the two tone Black and Burgundy paint that has a great shine and a perfect finish. The circle Commercial headlights are mounted along with a chrome headlight bar that you wont find on most other 32s. Chrome nostalgia taillights are mounted in rear next to the painted gas tank with custom pinstriping. Pinstriping is also found on the headlights and are period correct. It has the perfect amount of pinstriping accenting without being over done. The quality of this car is really tough to describe because it is just the type that was done right. The doors close solidly and everything has a perfect fit. The car was completely redone in 2010 with no expense spared. The car wasnt just thrown together by someone wanting a new toy but professionally built to be one of the nicest in the country. When we say redone we are meaning that it is all new from front to rear. The car has a great stance and looks great whether its running down the road or sitting at a car show. The 16 SoCal knock off aluminum slotted wheels work perfectly on this car and is safety wired with Firestone bias ply tires. If we had to condense this all to one word it would have to be classy. Under the four piece hood is a 350 V8 Chevrolet engine that runs out very well. The block and heads are coated in a Burgundy to match the car an looks great next to all the chrome. The nostalgic finned valve covers work well with the tear drop finned air cleaner and utilize very cool Oldsmobile style spark plug wire guide. Continuing with the old school feel is the Speedway ram horn exhaust manifolds which feed into a custom fabricated ceramic coated exhaust the produce a great sound. Other examples of the high quality parts include the chrome alternator, Edelbrock carburetor, and Petronix distributor. There is honestly many parts to this car that should be highlighted but there is just way too many to list out. The automatic transmission shifts nice and smooth on the car with no issues. The 8 inch Ford rear end fits under this car nicely and is nicely painted. You may think disc brakes are considered an upgrade but that isnt the case on this type of classic. Buick drum brakes are in place on this car with Wilson Welding finned backing plates up front. Along with the front end components they are all chromed and have an awesome shine. The front end is made up of drilled and chromed wishbones and polished/dropped/drilled SoCal I beam axle. The bench seat and door panels are topped with a custom design laid out in two tone pleated ultra leather. The carpet is perfectly fitting in the car with all high quality stitching. The dash is nicely painted and topped with some more traditional style pinstriping. Black faced Classic Instrument gauges are all nicely mounted framed in an engine turned Auburn dash panel. Even a chrome vintage heater box was chased down and is found under the dash. The polished column is topped off with a leather wrapped steering wheel with a Classic Instruments tach peaking through. To the floor is the Gennie drilled shifter with a polished shift knob. With the perfect touch of custom this is the type of car you want to have. It is the type of 32 that all of the old hot rodders will be slobbering over. They may think the flamed Wildrod is cool but this is the one they will be wanting to take home. Scheduled to be auctioned August 2, 2013 by Auctions America!
