When it comes to 50s Chevrolets people usually think you are about to tell them about a Belair. Well that isnt the case here. Years before the tri-five cars Chevrolet put out some great cars with awesome bodylines. These early 50s Chevy cars mark the change in the body styles where fenders started becoming less pronounced with an overall fused look. You can see this by comparing the rear fenders with a 40s street rod and the front with Belair cars. This 1951 Chevrolet Business Coupe has a great look and has been done in more of an old school style. The body is nice and smooth on the car and is all coated Shadow Gray. It has some very nice pearl that really stands out in the sunlight. The car is accented in various places with two tone pinstriping that is nicely laid out. The front and rear bumpers have been painted to match but there is still a lot of chrome left in place. The front grill has a great shine and gives the car a great looking front end. Other chrome is found on the light bezels, side mirrors, window trim, and more. The body sits on a 1978 Chevelle frame that has been extended 8 inches. All of the glass on the car is in great shape with no chips, even on the bent windshield. The side mirrors and rear window are nicely tinted and really help to keep some sun/heat out. The car has a nice stance and rolls around on 15 Rally wheels (8 rear, 6 front) with fresh Firestone 500 tires (275/60 rear, 235/60 front.) This car has less than 3,000 miles on it since it was built and is a great driver. Check out the table below to see a breakdown of the drivetrain: 383 4 bolt V8 Gear Drive Edelbrock Heads (All new springs) Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor All new wiring MSD Distributor MSD Ignition Electric Water Pump Open top circle air cleaner Flame valve covers Electric Fans 700R4 Transmission 3000 Stall Converter (Phoenix) The car has been upgraded with power brakes (drum in rear) and power steering. This makes cruising around in this classic a breeze with no issues. It has a positrac rear end that is fitted with 4:11 gears. The suspensions has also been gone through with all new shocks and coil springs in rear. The interior in the car is nicely done in Gray leather that is in great shape. The seats are all power assisted and are out of an Acura. They are extremely comfortable and if in the car perfectly. Between the seats is a custom console that houses the B&M shifter, storage, and the AM/FM/CD player. It is topped with woodgrain accents that breakup the Gray nicely. The dash is nicely finished off with the original style trim and chrome but upgraded gauges. The VDO gauges are all white face and include the speedometer, tachometer, oil gauges, amp gauge, temperature gauge, fuel gauge, and clock. In the glove box is where you will find the added Vintage AC controls. The tilt/telescoping column is topped with a chrome Banjo steering wheel with V8 horn button. Power windows are also in place on this classic with controls on the door panels. This smooth running classic is a really cool car that always turns heads. It looks extremely tough running down the road and has no issues. Dont miss your chance to own an old school custom like this for a great price! This car is a steal for only $25,000.00!
