This is a beautiful 1966 Cobra replica. The body was made by Classic Roadsters out of Fargo, ND. It sits on a custom tubular chassis. There are a lot of cobra replicas out there, but most are powered by a small block Ford or even a small block Chevy motor. Not this one. Just like the the originals, this car has a Ford Big Block. The engine is a 460 V-8 big block with a Carter 750 carburetor on a Edlebrock Performer manifold. 9.5 to 1 TRW forged aluminum pistons, Erson cam and springs. This baby is thumping out somewhere around 500hp. It is cooled by Cool Flow water pump with a custom Aluminum radiator with high volume electric fans, The engine also features a high volume performance oil pump, a Mallory ignition system, Custom built ceramic coated headers into custom built side pipes, an Aluminum Intake Manifold, a set of Polished Aluminum Cobra valve covers, a Polished oval air cleaner, a Polished timing cover, a Polished Water pump, chrome pulleys, a Chrome Alternator, chrome brackets and chrome hinges. The engine compartment looks great to say the least. The engine is connected to a 4 speed top loader transmission with is attached to a Ford 9 inch rear end. The rear end houses 2:73 gears. With the horsepower of the motor combined with the weight of the car, it flies in the short distance. Then when you consider the gear ratio, there is no telling what the top end speed of the car is. All we know is that it is fast. And the throaty sound of the exhaust just makes a car lovers heart beat. In back you will find adjustable coil over springs. And it rides on Replica Halibrand knockoff wheels. The body is dressed in nice red paint with white stripes. Behind the seat is a fully chrome full roll bar versus the single hoop roll bar seen on most Cobras. It has 4 point racing seat belts and nice comfortable black bucket seats. The dash has the full complement of gauges to keep you informed of all the critical engine functions. You will also find a correct steering wheel, emblems and latches. Plus it is even titled as a 1966 Ford 2 door convertible. Does it have AC? No. Why would you steal the horsepower. Does it have a radio? No. Why would you listed to a radio when you can listen to that Big Block motor. Does it drive like a Lexus? No. This is a pure Muscle Car. This car looks, runs and sounds great.
