The Bentley Arnage was named after a treacherous bend in the famous LeMans race track where, in the 1920’s, Bentley saw five victories with its fabulous 4.5 litre race cars. Appropriately, the Arnage Green Label is also powered by a 4.5 litre engine—now a fuel-injected 4-cam engine with twin intercooler- turbochargers and 4-valves-per-cylinder. This powerplant combined with a 5-speed automatic transmission, ventilated 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes with ABS braking, stability control, aqua- planning-detection and factory 17’ chrome wheels wearing Michelin 255/55R17 radial tires, provides fabulous performance. The automatic ride-height control (along with automatic load compensation and headlight leveling) gives a degree of driving comfort very difficult to find in a car of this performance level. Convenience features include electric: sunroof, windows, mirrors, locks, seats (also heated and with 4-memories each), mirrors, petrol flap opener, boot lid release, antenna and headlamp washers as well as cruise and climate controls, premium AM-FM/cassette stereo system. True luxury features abound with full ivory leather interior piped in body-matching dark green, wool carpets in dark green piped in ivory and with dark green Mouton carpet overlays, fabulous polished burl walnut facia, door capping rails and other matching interior trim including beautiful matching full interior door panels and the requisite 4 umbrellas mounted in the boot. Our car, finished in beautiful deep Mulsanne Green was purchased in Miami, Florida in August, 2000 and then by its only other owner in March, 2003, with 19,626 miles, from the Bentley dealer in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. That owner has maintained the car “by the book” and has recently had the full 40,000 mile service performed by a marque specialist. All original manuals, tools, service records and two sets of keys accompany the car.
