This is a rare 1958 Bel Air 2 door hardtop sport coupe with a 348 big block and a 2 speed powerglide transmission. Owned since 2007, where I bought it in OK where it had a frame-off restoration. Garaged and only driven in car shows.
This is a head-turner and a truly beautiful "20 footer" that gets lots of attention at shows because few people ever see 58 Chevy's and this is a black beauty! The 348 big block runs and sounds great - listen to the video. I put power brakes on for my father and have the heater core and a brand new water pump in the box for it as well as the original single master brake cylinder. I also have fender covers to protect the body when working on the car, a modern air cleaner for it, a car cover, a 1958 Chevy service manual and the 1958 owners manual for it. There is one cracked window and paint has peeled near gas tank - you'll see pictures of both in the set provided.
Like most 54 year olds, she leaks a bit when she sits for periods of time due largely to the non-rubber gasket between the engine and transmission.
