Description

SEE MORE PHOTOS OF THIS VETTE AND 100+ OTHERS FOR SALE AT WWW.BUYAVETTE.NET! White exerior (originally Nassau Blue), Red leather interior (originally Blue with White vinyl seats and door panels), Black convertible top. 350hp 327ci L79 Restoration Engine with matching numbers, 4 speed manual transmission. Features include tilt, power windows, AM/FM radio, power antenna. Originally assembled on February 27, 1965, this 1965 Corvette Convertible is in PRISTINE condition inside and out, as well as underneath, looking to be fresh from a nut and bolt, body-off rotisserie restoration! Weve had thousands upon thousands of midyears come through our doors, and the quality of this restoration is just as nice as any weve seen. This cars paint is in very good to excellent condition, with a gorgeous, deep shine. Convertible top looks to be recent, and is in very good to excellent condition with a clear window and no apparent issues. With the exception of the windshield, all exterior glass shows a correct date code. A 1965 big block style hood has been added to this car. Chrome bumpers appear to be original, and are in overall good condition with no rust, pitting, or dings. Taillights look to be recent, and are in very good to excellent condition with no cracks. Weatherstripping looks to be recent as well, and is also in very good to excellent condition with no dry-rotting or other issues. Exterior door handles look to be recent, and are in very good to excellent condition with no pitting or patina to speak of. This 1965 Corvette Convertible wears a set of recent looking knockoff style wheels, which are in very good to excellent condition with no curb rash or other wear. Tires are Coker Classic radial redlines, showing full tread remaining at an average of 11/32nds. The interior of this car shows recent looking leather seat covers, door panels, dash pads, and correct loop carpet, all in very good to excellent condition. Gauges are in very good to excellent condition with no fading and clear lenses, complete with a working clock. Steering wheel is in good condition, the seatbelts are new, and a period correct AM/FM radio is in place. We have just installed an ididit tilt steering column in this car as well (not pictured). The engine in this car shows casting number 3858180, which was used in limited numbers in Corvette applications for the 1965 model year. According to the NCRS, these engines were cast at the Tonawanda plant, and then shipped to the Flint plant for machining and assembly. This particular engine appears to have been decked/planed at some time, removing the original numbers from the stamp pad. This is a common practice in engine rebuilding to ensure that there are no leaks between the cylinder heads and engine block. This engine block shows casting date I2364. This engines stamp pad has clearly been restamped, and currently shows this cars VIN number, and T0212HT. According to NCRS, this is an acceptable practice, as long as the vehicle is categorized as having a Restoration Engine. L79 style valve covers and intake manifold are in place, as well as correct ignition shielding and hose clamps. Frame and suspension look to have been freshly detailed, and are clean enough to eat off of, with no signs of rust or decay. Suspension wear parts all appear to be very recent, as well as the exhaust. This car has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition.
