Description

This car is in beautiful condition. It is a one family owned car. My great-great-uncle bought it brand new off the lot in 1964. The interior and body are mostly original. We painted the car the original color in 2003 and changed out the carpet at the same time.

The car has a 327 four barrel Rochester with a two speed powerglide transmission. It has a little over 98,000 original miles. The odometer has not rolled over. During the engine rebuilt, we put Corvette intakes in. We also installed power brakes that greatly increase the ease at which you can drive the car. The rebuild occured approximately 40,000 miles ago. The tires are good and will last for a while. They are several years old, but have great tread left on them. The battery is brand new as of May 2012.

It has the original seats on the interior. My grandfather still had the bubble wrap on the seats from the factory when I received the car. We replaced the interior carpet with the original color. It has the original dash with no cracks or discoloration. We installed a modern radio, but did not cut the dash to do so. The radio has a CD player with an AM/FM radio. The original AM radio is still in the car. We also installed seat belts that can easily be removed.

This car also has all of the original manuals and books, and we also have the original build sheet from the factory. It even has the "air conditioned" sticker in the back window from when it was advertised on the lot. The heater and air conditioner do work well.

There area few minor rust spots on the vehicle. It has a spot on the side where the paint was rubbed off when it was being hauled. This spot has started to rust, but has not rusted through. The trunk also has a few minor rust spots on the inside that have also not rusted through. There are pictures posted of each of these problems. There is also a minor leak in the power steering mechanism. It will slowly leak if not fixed.

This car has been stored indoors since it was purchased new. It has been well taken care of. Anyone who chooses to purchase this vehicle is responsible for picking it up. Thank you for taking the time to look at it!
