1949 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Hooper Design #8234 Short wheel base owner/driver Saloon finished Maroon with Dove Grey hides piped Maroon and chrome wheel discs as originally presented at the 1948 Earls Court Motor Show this one off design by Osmond Rivers served to introduce their dramatic razor edged line to the public.
Accompanied by hundreds of pages of pre and post delivery factory correspondence, complete original tools and correct handbook, this undamaged example was well restored by well regarded facilities from 1983-1985 after which it captured RROC National Awards in 1985,1986 and 1989 each time it was shown.
It has been well looked after in the 23 years since and is beautifully preserved. Equally as important, its smooth, quiet performance and handling are as they were in 1949. A remarkable specimen priced at a level that would likely fall short of the cost of this caliber of restoration at today's levels, even ignoring the acquisition cost of an exceptional one of a kind example.
A deserving candidate for addition to any collection.
