By the mid sixties every car segment was incredibly competitive. The big 3 where fighting it out in the show rooms across the country. The dealers were clamoring for cars that had an edge on the other brands. When the 1967 restyled Dodge Dart hit the market it was a strong entry into the compact car segment. To compete with Nova and Falcon, Chrysler Corporation decided to design their car to be a little larger, handle better, offer more options, and more style. The GT you see here is one of only 7894 units built. It is documented with the original framed Chrysler Broadcast sheet. Dodge offered a convertible version that really set it apart from the competition. By 67 standards this car is loaded. It comes with some great features including a 235 horse power, 273 V-8, 4 barrel carburetor, automatic transmission, dual exhaust, power steering, 3:23 posi-traction rear end, and factory air conditioning. Along with a power top, simulated mag style wheel covers, red line tires, tinted glass, and dual mirrors. The driver side has a remote adjuster on the door panel. The roomy bucket seat interior is very nice and shows very nicely. A padded dash, AM/FM radio, console, seat belts, Slap Stick shifter, and 3 spoke sport steering wheel are also nice features. The body is solid with beautiful shiny white paint, excellent chrome, trim, and glass. The black power top works perfectly and has the original boot. The large trunk has extra room with the original jack mounted to the side and the full size spare hiding under the mat. This car was restored several years ago and has been used sparingly for cruise nights and car show. It is a show winner. This car was kept as original as possible with very few modifications along the way. It is an outstanding car in very detail and would be a pleasure to own.
