1979 Corvette T-Top Coupe - RARE Factory L-82 Red with Oyster interior, loaded with options! This Corvette has been in storage since 1992 (still has the inspection sticker in the window dated 1992, which shows the mileage at 51,171) Prior to 1992, the car was regularly serviced with all documentation since the early 1980's showing work done on the car.
We even have the original Car and Driver article cut from a 1979 issue of the magazine This is a 2 owner car which was sold by Pape Chevrolet to the second owner in 1985 (We have that paper work also).
The engine runs smooth and strong & burns no oil, but the carburetor may need a rebuild after the long storage. The brake system was replaced a few years ago, but the system should be bled and adjusted, as the car was driven very little after the brakes were done.
The body is original, as well as the paint. The paint is 33 years old and has flaws & some fade, etc. (It will need paint at some point). The interior looks great for its age and the color combo is stunning!
The wheels are Centerlines, but the original Goodyear Eagle GT tires are still on the car!
These L-82s are getting hard to find. The car has been off the road for 20 years, so it’s being sold as-is.
