A very rare variant of this exclusive high performance sports car finished Aubergine complemented by its very well preserved original Connolly VM846 hides, this nicely patinaed example could be a fine candidate for exhibition in the increasingly popular Preservation Class of various Concours d'Elegance events, or a candidate for an unchallenging respray, as the fit and finish of all the panels is superb.
This is an original left drive factory air conditioned example. In 1968 at 13,623 miles under the terms of the original warranty, the race-bred Vantage engine was upgraded to the latest most reliable specification. The odometer now reads 18,559 but that mileage has not yet been confirmed. However, the lack of wear to the interior and the limited use that these cars typically experienced, as they were understandably not the sole means of transportation of their necessarily affluent owners are factors to consider in forming an opinion.
