This 1946 Lincoln Continental is recognized as a Full Classic from the CCCA.
Offered for sale by the California Automobile Museum
This 1946 Lincoln Continental has been very well maintained and garage kept.
Exterior
The exterior of this Lincoln is in great shape considering its age. The paint shines well and is still very attractive. It does however have some cracks in it where some body panels meet up to each other. It appears that they are due to the age of the vehicle. All of the glass is intact and is remarkably clear and free of scratches. The chrome presents well and is complete but it is not perfect and shows its age with some minor imperfections such as polish marks and small scratches. The body panels all line up good and are dent free. The drivers sideview mirror will not hold its position.
Interior
the Interior of this Lincoln Continental looks great. There is a blemish on the front seat where the driver sits, the leather has cracked and there is a small piece that is missing. The carpeting is in fantastic shape and shows little if any wear. The dashboard is complete and looks good but the chrome is starting to show its age some.
Mechanical
Mechanically this Lincoln runs and drives well. The engine was gone through when it was restored in the late 1980's but has not had significant mileage put on it since then. This vehicle shifts well and the clutch feels good. The push button doors open and close as they should. The drivers sideview mirror does not want to stay in position because it is a bit loose. The tires are in good shape but I am unaware of how long they have been on the vehicle.
Overview
This Lincoln Continental is in great overall shape and there has been considerable effort done to maintain this vehicle in the condition that it is in. The current owner has had the vehicle since 1992. As mentioned previously it is the last of the vehicles recognized as Full Classic from the CCCA.
