Brighton Motorsports is proud to present the opportunity to purchase a true milestone car, the first true recreation of the race winning 1958 Scarab built by Lance Reventlow, and campaigned to victory by driver Chuck Daigh at the 1958 Riverside International Grand Prix, beating the Ferrari driven by Phil Hill.

This is car #1 (Chassis 1958-08-001C) produced by Kansas based Scarab Motorsports LLC - modeled after the aesthetic specifications of the original, but with modern day safety improvements, as follows:

Handcrafted aluminum body built for exacting detail; wire edged where appropriate

This beautiful machine is powered by a Small Block Chevy, topped off with a Hillborn fuel injection system that has been upgraded to modern computer control. There's also also electronic ignition by MSD. The transmission is the tried and true Muncie, (with separate lever for reverse) turning a Winters Quick-Change differential out back.

Car #1 is painted in the striking Blue and White livery originally designed by the famed Von Dutch. When equipped with period disc brakes and an iron cylinder head engine, this Scarab has been approved by the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association for its vintage track events.

Far more than an artfully crafted collection of automotive components and sheetmetal, the true visionary genius of this design can only be understood by direct experience. With a brash exuberance rooted in lusty power and precise control, this legal for the street racecar will grab your soul and never let go.

While car #1 is immediately available for purchase, if it doesn't meet your explicit specifications or color preference, we can easily build a new one to order for you with the engine, transmission, and color options of your choice.
