1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Nomad Wagon
--------------------------------------------------- NOTICE--- today May 1, 2013 The car recently came back from the body shop the body was stripped down and repainted RED. (paint alone $4500). It also received a new Goodmark SS hood . The interior will be changed to black. (leather front bucket seats, vinyl rear folding seat, door panels, headliner). Slot wheels that have been polished and clear coated will be installed. I am currently putting in all the windows and the newly polished stainless steel trim. --------------------------------------------------- I am the 2nd owner of this car and have owned it since 1990. There are 33,380 miles on the car since completion and only 115,600 miles on the body since new.
This car needs nothing. Drive it home; drive it anywhere.
Major points:
No rust anywhere, body or frame.
The body was taken off of the frame for restoration.

Details
Suspension:
Everything in this steering was done over-new tie rods, center link, pitman arm, idler arm, etc.
Quick ratio 12:1 steering box .
Front suspension - New coil springs, KYB gas-adjust shock absorbers, ball joints, 1 front sway bar, all graphite polyurethane bushings.
Rear Suspension - New coil springs with Air-Spring air bags, KYB gas-adjust shocks, 1 rear swaybar, boxed upper and lower trailing arms, Lakewood No-Hop bars, all graphite polyurethane bushings.
Car body bushings are also graphite polyurethane.
Brakes:
4-wheel drum brakes were converted to 4-wheel 11 disc brakes with Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve, updated (1 1/8 diameter piston) aluminum master cylinder.
Engine:
The entire engine was blueprinted.
355 cu.in.300 hp, 8.75:1 compression TRW forged flat top pistons, Comp Cams 268H cam, ProMagnum full roller rockers, lifters, valve springs, etc. Moroso 7 qt. oilpan, Edlebrock intake manifold, Jet Performance 750 cfm. Street Master II quadra-jet carburetor distributor, with 50,000 volt coil. Electric fuel pump, 3/8 stainless steel fuel line.
2 piece Aluminum ceramic coated valve covers. Engine also has remote oil filter, KN air cleaner, and degreed crank shaft dampner.
Since engine break in I have only used Mobile 1 synthetic engine oil,and KN oil filters.
Engine idles at 750 RPM with 25 lbs. PSI oil pressure, over 50 MPH 50lbs PSI.
304 stainless steel headers, complete 304 stainless steel Borla exhaust system with H pipe.
Transmission:
Richmond R.O.D. close ratios 6-speed transmission, part # 7021626DD, 26 spline input shaft, 32 spline output shaft, ratios: 1st 3.01, 2nd 1.88, 3rd 1.46, 4th 1.18, 5th 1.00, 6th 0.62

Rebuilt with 3.31 ratio ring pinion, new bearings, Auburn positraction Moser Engineering axles.
ULTIMATE 12 bolt LPW aluminum differential cover, 1 rear swaybar
Top bottom trailing arms boxed, Lakewood No Hop bars, all bushings graphite polyurethane.
Exterior:
Paint is in great condition with just a few flaws: 90% perfect. Smooth as glass, look at the reflections in the paint in the photos. Remember this is a driver with 33,000 miles on it since completion. Paint is metallic gold with purple, blue, and fuchsia stripes. Chrome is original in excellent condition.
Interior:
Tilt steering column with SS steering wheel, steering column mounted tachometer with shift light, SS console has a working clock, lighted SS emblem, 6 speed shift pattern emblem.
Gauges are mounted under the dash: oil temp, oil pressure, and water temp.
Front seats are tan leather bucket seats. Rear seat is original folds down.
Kenwood stereo and speakers with 50 watt amp. Battery is mounted in storage compartment under the floor, behind the rear axle for better weight distribution handling. It really does handle great.
This is a great car and gets a lot of attention from people who see it. Nice car to go cruising in gets good gas mileage with the overdrive 6-sp transmission, and it only uses 89 octane gasoline.
