Here is an extremely rare Van body Morris Minor with Factory Left Hand Drive. One of a VERY FEW North American Production models. Of all the Morris Minors I've ever seen, I have never seen one like this. I've searched all available photos for a similar Van and have found none other like it. It has been almost completely restored, but it has not had a frame-off restoration. It existed in a very dry climate and has very little rust on the under carriage or floor pans. It is as close to original as possible with a completely overhauled original engine and transmission. The engine was bored .010" and has new pistons fitted with chrome rings for extended longevity. The crank has been turned also .010" and fitted with new bearings. All available seals and gaskets were replaced, the timing cover has been chromed for show as has the valve cover, and air filter housing. There is other chrome on the engine as well. The engine is in excellent condition and has fewer than 500 miles on the overhaul. It has only run in parades and car shows, and very little street exposure. The Body has been professionally reconditioned and repainted a beautiful eye-catching fire engine red and remains virtually flawless. The bumpers and grille have been re-chromed for excellent appearance. The rear leaf springs and the entire differential were already chrome plated when the van was purchased by it's current owner, but those items are not as picture perfect as the visible body details. The interior has been professionally refurbished with pain-staking attention to detail. The latest work on this van was just completed days ago when a new master cylinder was purchased from an original parts supplier in England and the rear wheel cylinders are currently being rebuilt as this text is being entered. Though this hasn't been a frame-off restoration this vehicle is road worthy and and has passed safety inspection for operation on Texas highways. With the exception of replacing the bushings in the front suspension (which are not worn-out, but are simply original) all systems on this van have received any necessary attention to maintain serviceability, and enhance the beauty of the vehicle. I believe it to be a one of a kind offering and it remains as close to factory original as we were able to keep it. Custom wheels are the only deviation with only the original spare wheel remaining under the custom cover behind the driver's seat. The old wheels were inadvertently discarded but we have a source for them if they are desired.
