1935 Reo Speedwagon 6AP pickup for sale. This is a very rare and unique pickup. Found in a field where it had sat for over 30 years. A complete restoration of this pickup for my father was done in our shop three years ago. The pickup was restored to look stock but has a modern drivetrain. The exterior paint color was matched to the original. The pinstriping, wheels, exterior was all restored to factory original. The roof and cowl vent are filled and a wood floor installed in the bed. These are the only non original exterior features. All the cab and door wood infrastructure was replaced with steel but machined to look original and accept the stock door latch hardware I even put the slotted screws back in place for the original look. I went thru alot of time making sure to hide any of the modern additions. The original chassis was kept, a throttle body injected Chevrolet 350 V-8 with a 700R4 overdrive transmission was installed. A Ford Mustang II independent disc brake front suspension was grafted to the original chassis up front along with a Ford 8" rear axle. The original Reo wheels are the same bolt pattern as Ford so it was a good fit. Less than 10 1935-36 Reo Speedwagon 6AP 1/2 ton pickups are known to have survived and this is the only 1935 model year pickup known to have surfaced to this point. If you want the original look of a very rare pickup but want to be able to hop in it, drive freeway speeds over the original top speed of 35 mph, with air conditioning, disc brakes, power steering, this is the pickup for you. The only reason we are listing this pickup for sale is that my father doesn't have much time to drive it anymore and we have taken it to most all of the shows in the area. This is a 100 point show winning pickup that can be driven and enjoyed. Listed are the shows it has been in. Seen at Monterey 2011 and Scottsdale 2012. Feel free to call me with any questions.
