This particular car is the most unique of all of the Mustang competition cars that were built for the 1967 season. It is the only car to ever be fitted with Weber twin-choke carburetors new from the factory, and the only car shipped to Australia. Ford of Australia originally ordered car number seven for leading Australian driver Greg Cusack to compete in the 1967 Tasman Trans Am series. Shelby switched their order to this car (number 20), which was fitted with the Webers carburetors. Official Shelby documentation indicates that this car was shipped to Gregory Ford in Australia on April 11, 1967 along with six sets of wheels. The car became part of the Castrol team with drivers Cusack and Niel Allen and competed in Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, and New South Wales with great success.
