1977 Plymouth Volare
Daily driver for more than 10 years retired when bought new car has been sitting and not started in several years. Apx. 250 miles on new front and rear crank seals, push rods, lifters, timing set and radiator, 10 bolt vented rear w 11 in. brakes, rear brake shoes. Apx. 2500 miles new tie rod ends, ball joints, A Frame bushings and pitman arm. Apx. 50,000 miles on ring and valve job. Interior needs to be finished, has pillow velour Caddy seats and sun visors, have Caddy door pulls but never installed. Needs fan in dash for heater and AC. Last time I checked compressor still turned free but system needs to be charged and electrical connection to compressor needs to be wired up. Never hooked system up as never replaced fan for heater and AC. Drivers door needs to have holes welded and drilled in hinges and bushing and pin kit installed, have to lift door some to close. Needs a grill and new base for gargoyle hood ornament. Some art etched into glass of rear sides windows and rear window. Spoiler added to trunk and roof. Have T-Tops to be added, roof from Camero, weather stripping is pretty good match, Volare is almost 2 in. wider than Camero, reasonably simple cut and weld project to add T-Tops. Originally had 14s changed to 15s, 4 flats now. 6 in. shackles and 6 in. extentions for air shocks, rear cross member has been upgraded to 1 4 in. square tube steel welded to frame. Passenger s seat sits 3 in. higher than driver s seat, 2 cupids on rear view mirror, car is built to give passenger hints. Very safe car for small children rear seat is cushy and close, child carrier packs very snuggly into back seat. A car from when carburetors were still a reality. Car is showing signs of some minor rust, body integrity is pretty good very little Bondo from minor dings accumulated from neglectful drivers.
