This Barracuda Formula S is ready to turn heads with its fastback
design and throaty 383 powerplant. There were only 7,193 cars
equipped with the package out of the total production run of 62,534
Barracudas coming off the line in 1967.
Introduced in 1964, the 2-door Pony Car produced by Chrysler
Corporation was based on a A-Body platform to compete directly with
the Mustang. The greatest effort was put into creating its easily
distinguishable 14.4 sq. ft. rear window, a collaboration between
Pittsburgh Plate Glass (PPG) and Chrysler designers that created
the largest ever installed on a standard production car to that
time.
