1955 Ford Fairlane
VIN: USPT141128
Initially introduced as the flagship of the full-size Ford range,
the Fairlane was produced and marketed from 1955 to 1970. Taking
its name from the Dearborn, Michigan estate of Henry Ford, the
Fairlane replaced the Crestline as Ford's premier full-sized
offering. The car presented at auction features the following:
- Beautiful Car in Very Good Condition
- Low Ownership History
- Odometer Shows 66,004 Miles, Believed to Be Original
- 272 V-8 "Y-Block" Engine
- Automatic Transmission
- All Original Car
Bought new in Southeast Wyoming, the current owner's father sold
this car at his Ford dealership to a school teacher. A State Farm
Insurance Agent served as the second owner. The current(third)
owner has followed the car for years, and seized on the opportunity
to "bring the car back into the family". This striking car has
spent its entire life in the favorable, dry climate of Wyoming and
was enjoyed as a driver early, then making the trek to numerous car
shows throughout the region. The quality workmanship coming from
the Ford factory in 1955 is evident in this car. The doors open and
close real solid and the car is reported to have Original Paint and
the Original Interior! The radio is reported to not work along with
the gas gauge.
The Interior and Exterior still show well nearly 70 years later!
The paint shows some oxidation.
THIS VEHICLE TO BE COLLECTED FROM GILLETTE, WYOMING.
