The 5th generation Ford Fairlane was a mid-size model produced by
Ford for model years 1966/1967. The '66 model is widely considered
to be the best-looking mid-sized Fairlane ever produced. Clean
lines, distinctive chrome and a little 'bulge' in the rear quarter
panels deliver a classic 'muscle' impact. This handsome 1966 Ford
Fairlane 500 GT hardtop was carefully restored in (2013) and has
been the beneficiary of some serious mechanical upgrades. The solid
hardtop body was refinished in 2-stage Ebony Black and is in good
condition. All chrome is excellent and period-correct 16" Boyd
Cottington chrome alloy spoke wheels mount Goodyear Eagle radials.
The restored interior features reupholstered seating, custom
mahogany dash w/digital gauges, center console and 3-spoke wood
tilt wheel. Door panels, headliner and carpeting are all in very
good condition. Other features include air conditioning, power
tinted windows and a raging Panasonic AM/FM/CD sound system.
This 'S' code Fairlane came from the factory with a 390ci FE motor
that has given way to what is said to be a rebuilt 4.6L Ford
modular V8 that was donated by a 2004 Mustang. The powerplant
features dual overhead cams w/32-valves and fuel injection. Cooling
is handled by an aluminum radiator w/electric fans and torque is
delivered by a 5-speed manual transmission. The motor sounds strong
through a custom dual exhaust setup and the chassis is equipped
with power steering, 4-wheel disc brakes, front coil springs and
rear leaf springs. Look at the photos again - if you want a fun
Blue Oval, this sharp Fairlane has your name on it. ALL VEHICLES
SOLD "AS IS".
