Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1998 Mercedes-Benz SL500.
This SL is finished in Brilliant Silver with matching hard top over
Orion Grey leather with a black soft top. It's a nice clean example
with under 70,000 original miles that has been in South Carolina
for nearly ten years. Recent service has included top cylinders,
control arms, brake lines, fluids, battery and
professionally-replaced soft top plastic windows. Toyo Extensa
tires have less than 2,000 miles and are mounted on factory 16-inch
wheels.
Runs and drives great with cold A/C, properly working power top and
all other accessories. All stock and clearly garaged kept; this SL
presents very well with nice paint finish and excellent interior
showing only minor wear on the driver's seat. We feel that the 1998
model year of the SL500 is the sweet spot in R129 production as it
has the updated body and interior along with the much better
five-speed automatic transmission, but was the final year for the
more powerful and sporting 32V M119 5.0L V8. Extensive service
records, build sheet, owner's books, wind deflector, tool roll,
first aid kit and matching spare included.
