Vehicle Description
Revved and ready to rock, this 1966 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II
Restomod, cloaked in sleek black paint with red and orange flames
licking down its sides, is a high-octane fusion of classic style
and modern muscle. The '66 Nova, already a legend in its own right,
has been reborn as a restomod marvel, courtesy of a frame-off
restoration completed in 2006. The laser-straight body, culminating
in a cowl hood that teases the power within, sits atop a lowered
stance courtesy of an air ride suspension system featuring tubular
control arms up front and a 4-link setup in the rear. This Nova
rolls on a set of Billet Specialties wheels - 17" up front and 18"
out back - wrapped in 215/45ZR17 and 245/40ZR18 rubber,
respectively, ready to lay down some serious grip.
Swing open the doors, and you're greeted by a black and gray vinyl
interior that is sporty and stylish. The bucket seats, wrapped in
classic vinyl, offer a comfortable perch to command this beast. The
dash, adorned with a retro-style AM/FM/AUX stereo system and a full
array of AutoMeter carbon fiber gauges, blends yesteryear charm
with modern convenience. Nestled in the custom center console is a
B&M shifter, controlling the 700R4 4-speed automatic
transmission right at your fingertips. Vintage Air climate control
keeps things cool, while the Robitech air system mounted on the
console lets you adjust the ride height on the fly. The door
panels, rear panels, and headliner all fit snugly, a testament to
the quality of the restoration, while the Chevy-emblem stitched
rear deck with speakers adds a touch of personalized flair.
Underneath the flaming hot exterior is a gleaming 406 V8
powerplant, a Dart block professionally built for both show and go.
Fed by a Quick Fuel carb atop an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap
intake manifold, this engine breathes deep. Hooker long-tube
headers feed into a Pypes dual exhaust system, ensuring the
soundtrack matches the performance. An aluminum radiator with dual
electric fans keeps things cool, while the chrome alternator, AC
compressor, and billet pulley system add a touch of shine to the
engine bay. Power meets the pavement through a 12-bolt rear end,
while power disc brakes up front provide ample stopping power.
