Line up ten 57 Chevys and this one will stand out! It is beautiful.
I sold this car in 2005 with a fresh restoration, we acquired it
back from his estate 2 years ago. I sold it again and that owner
loved it. He only traded it in to get a Nova that would fit in his
garage easier. There are only 4,560 miles on the car since the
custom build. It has been garage kept and maintained very well.
EXTERIOR: Gorgeous! The color and stance are perfect. The body is
straight as a rifle barrel. No rust, damage or body work showing
that I could find. The Brandywine paint has tiny metal flake that
comes alive in the sun. It's polished like glass. All the chrome
and trim was replaced or restored. The windshield and side glass
was replaced with smoked glass. 15 inch polished Billet Specialty
wheels with BFG tires, fatter in back. The paint was recently
ceramic coated.
INTERIOR: Very sharp looking inside too. Professional custom job
from floor to ceiling. The door panels, seats and headliner were
sculpted and upholstered to match. Power bucket seats in front. The
door panels have Bel Air trim cleverly incorporated. The metal trim
is either chromed or painted. The dash has custom billet trim,
white face gauges and clock. The climate controls look authentic
but are upgraded with electric levers. Polished tilt column has a
custom wheel. The console has a stereo which feeds 4 hidden
speakers. It also has sharp looking a/c vents that also deliver to
the rear passengers. B&M ratchet shifter, the interior lights
work. Billet handles and pedals. The carpet and matching mats have
bound edges.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Corvette LT1 fuel injected 350. It has aluminum
heads, valve covers, and intake. Coated headers on each side.
Polished brackets, a/c compressor and alternator. A giant radiator
with 2 electric fans keeps it cool. Modern power steering with
remote reservoir. Power brakes with dual reservoir. Custom smooth
firewall is painted glossy.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Completely boxed and upholstered including under
the trunk lid. It matches the interior.
UNDERSIDE: Upgraded front clip, looks like a Heidts. It has tubular
control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks, rack and pinion
steering. Four link in back with tubular control arms and coilover
gas adjustable shocks. Upgraded brake system has disc at all 4
wheels. Great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and
flared chrome tips. New custom fuel tank and fuel pump. Bottom of
the motor is still clean, has a high torque starter. Upgraded
700R-4 overdrive automatic. The floors, braces, rockers all appear
to be rock solid.
This 57 stands out from the others. Whoever built it did a
fantastic job picking colors and trim. In and out it's beautiful.
Sure, I could look at it all day, but the real pleasure is getting
behind the wheel and going for a cruise. Prepare to be
complimented..........a lot!
SERVICE: We inspected and serviced the car. The fuel tank was
recently replaced, we replaced the fuel pump and filter. We also
replaced the exhaust manifolf gasket and had the front end
aligned.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
